This album was recorded on May 3rd and 4th of 2010. All songs have unknown authors, with the following exceptions. “Wildwood Flower” was originally titled “I’ll Twine ‘Mid the Ringlets,” written by Maud Irving (words) and Joseph P. Webster (music). It is dedicated to Mrs. Bessie Mize. “Weary Blues” was originally titled “Weary Blues from Waitin’” and written by Hank Williams, Sr. (Sony/ATV/Acuff Music). "The Reason Why" is a Maiden Radio original.
Thank you Kevin Ratterman for capturing these recordings in The Kitchen at The Funeral Home. Also Daniel Martin Moore for photographing the session and whistling on “Weary Blues.” Album art by Christopher Jackson.
The sweetness of the harmony and beauty of the tracks made me have to purchase this album. The vocals float like ethereal sprites with compelling warmness yet a certain captivating sadness as well. This is what Americana should sound like... this is what country should sound like... for it's so real and emotionally delivered... yet absolutely gorgeous. theexplodingogre
